Lao Lishi (born 12 December, 1987, Zhanjiang, Guangdong ), is a well-known Chinese diver.In March, 1998, Lao entered Guangdong Diving Team.In January,2002, Lao was selected in the National Team.
In 2002, she won the 10 meter women's platform in Spanish and Canada of FINA Diving Grand Prix, women's 10 meter synchronized platform in America, second prize in the 10 meter women's platform of National Diving Championship Tournament, 10 meter women's platform and 10 meter synchronized platform of World Cup Diving Competition, 10 meter women's platform of Busan Asian Games.
In 2003, Lao continued to win the first prize in Australia, China and World Championship.Lao represented China at the 2004 Summer Olympics, earning a silver medal in the 10 meter women's platform and a gold medal in women's 10 meter synchronized platform along with Li Ting.
In 2010, she became a retired athlete. Then she graduated from Zhongshan University and tried to be a coach in amateur sports school and diving team for a short time. Afterwards, she became a civil servant in a Guangdong government department, being charge of public welfare and charity.
In June, 2014, Lao Lishi decided to run an online store "Lao Lishi's treasures" after quitting the civil-servant job in the beginning of 2014. "Lao Lishi's treasures" specialises in bracelets made of red sandalwood and agate with the price of a few hundred yuan to thousands. Lao said: “ I don’t make very much. I just want to try new things.”
